The holiday party for children who have been treated for cancer at Mattel Children's Hospital at UCLA grows every year. A rising number of cancer survivors is one of many remarkable outcomes that make this hospital one of the best in the world. Using research to create new approaches to medical care, physicians offer treatments that are improving the health and futures of children around the globe.

After Mattel Children's Foundation pledged $25 million to help build a new hospital, executives and employees became personally involved. They've forged a strong relationship that has set new benchmarks for university-corporate partnerships and is creating a technologically advanced home for a vast array of publicly and philanthropically funded medical research.

“Extraordinary things happen at Mattel Children's Hospital every day, and these successes make an extraordinary difference in the lives of children and their families.”

—Dr. Edward McCabe, Physician-in-Chief
